Bodyweight Jumping Chin up

submitted by sandsteelpaul on 11/14/17 1

TECHNIQUE: Begin by gripping the bar with an underhand grip (palms facing toward you). Your box should be set so with your arms straight your knees can be bent Engage your core and drive upwards with a jump while simultaneously engaging your back and biceps. ADVANTAGES: This is a compound exercised that is great for the biceps and lats. It also improves grip strength. This is a good option for those who are almost at strict chin-ups or if there is a lot of volume. FAULTS: Not gripping the bar fully; have your thumbs wrap around the bar. Your chin needs to get over the bar SCALING: Scale via the height of the object you are standing on. If you are still struggling work on the Lat Pulldown
