Kettlebell - Goblet Squat (Fault)

submitted by sandsteelpaul on 08/29/17 1

Hannah Demonstrates a common fault in the Kettlebell Goblet Squat. Here, Hannah has an anterior pelvic till on the bottom the Goblet Squat (known as a butt wink). TECHNIQUE: This movement is a great variation for the front squat. By having the weight in front of you it works the quads just as the barbell front squat would. ADVANTAGES: For some people this movement is easier than using the barbell because shoulder and wrist mobility is less of a concern. FAULTS: Because the weight is positioned in front of the body it is easy to have the tendency to fold forward with the weight instead of sinking into the squat. SCALING: This can be made easier by using less weight.
