Hannah Demonstrates the Mace Grave Digger TECHNIQUE: Much like the chop and lift this exercise is a great way to workout the arms as well as engage the core. ADVANTAGES: This is a great way to build core strength while also working the arms. Having to balance with your legs in line makes it significantly more difficult. FAULTS: It is easy to bend the elbows throughout the movement, instead of maintaining straight arms. It is also easier to over twist when turning with the mace. SCALING: This can be done using a PVC pipe to make it easier or a heavier Mace to make it more difficult. This can also be done in a standard lunge position to make it easier as well.
