An eSIM (Embedded SIM) card is a SIM card that is embedded directly into a device, such as a smartphone or a smartwatch, and does not require a physical SIM card to be inserted. Instead of swapping out physical SIM cards when changing mobile carriers, users can download a carrier's eSIM profile to their device, which then allows them to use that carrier's network.
