Formed in the UK in 1979, Cloven Hoof is an often overlooked band with some tremendous albums. Despite frequently shifting members, contractual issues, and early recording problems, bassist Lee Payne has managed to keep Cloven Hoof together in some form with their most recent album, Age of Steel, released in April 2020. They've gone through some different sounds and some very different looks but this is a band worth checking out whether this is your first time hearing of Cloven Hoof or if you just haven't heard any of their newer material.
