In his presentation, Dr. Cliff will discuss recent political developments in Hong Kong and Taiwan and their implications for conflict over Taiwan. Cliff has worked for the Center for Naval Analyses, Atlantic Council, Project 2049 Institute, RAND Corporation, and Office of the Secretary of Defense. He holds a Ph.D. in international relations from Princeton University, an M.A. in Chinese studies from the University of California, San Diego, and a B.S. in physics from Harvey Mudd College. He is fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese.
