The LBJ Library Honors National Hispanic Heritage Month (closed captioning in English is now available) (La Biblioteca de LBJ Honora el Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana) In September 1968, President Lyndon Johnson proclaimed National Hispanic Heritage Week, which is now a month-long celebration. In recognition of this country's Hispanic heritage and population, Lyndon Nugent, grandson of President Johnson, and George P. Bush, grandson of President George H. W.
