An Evening With Sam Tanenhaus

submitted by Marvin's Underground Evening Lectures on 12/01/21 1

How are books chosen to be reviewed in the New York Times Book Review? Sam Tanenhaus, editor of the Review, revealed the process in a program at the LBJ Library on October 20, 2010. This program featured a conversation between Tanenhaus and Dr. David Oshinsky, Pulitzer Prize-winning author and professor at The University of Texas at Austin. Tanenhaus spoke about the Book Review, politics, William F. Buckley, Jr., and his book, The Death of Conservatism, which has a new chapter on the Tea Party.
