submitted by Marvin's Underground Evening Lectures on 12/01/21 1

On Monday, April 27, 2015, Richard Linklater (director) and Ellar Coltrane (lead actor) shared their experiences in making the groundbreaking film, Boyhood, with Friends of the LBJ Library members. Shot in Texas and featuring many scenes in Austin, this moving and intimate film follows a boy named Mason, played by Ellar Coltrane, over the course of 12 years. The film not only charts the life of Mason, it also provides snapshots of his relationships with his father, mother, sister, and extended family.
