Hill and McCubbin discussed Hill's poignant and powerful memoirs based on his time of serving five U.S. presidents. He is most notably remembered for being in the motorcade in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963—assigned to protect First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy—when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. His brave and swift actions of leaping onto the back of the presidential limousine to protect President and Mrs. Kennedy while shots were being fired are credited with saving Mrs. Kennedy's life. Program introduced by Tom Johnson, chairman emeritus of the LBJ Foundation Board of Trustees. - - -
