The first single proper from Top 5 album ‘Meltdown’, ‘Orpheus’ hammered the UK airwaves and hit the singles chart at number 13. The single went on to feature along with the album title track ‘Meltdown’ on the soundtrack for cult movie Shaun Of The Dead (starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost), which was nominated for two BAFTA awards. Produced by Nick Raskulinecuz (best known for his work with Foo Fighters), ‘Orpheus’ was inspired by a Jack Kerouac on the road experience, similar to that of the film Y Tu Mama Tambien. ‘Orpheus’ was nominated for Kerrang! Award for Best Single and featured in the Criterion Games 2004 video games Burnout 3 Takedown and NHL 2005. The video, directed by Jeff Thomas and filmed in Almeria, Southern Spain, is a car chase across the desert with two bandits chasing the band in a Gumball Rally style vehicle.
