The game between Wake Forest and North Carolina had a thrilling finish as North Carolina stunned undefeated Wake Forest, taking them down in a shootout 58-55. Wake Forest held a 45-27 lead late in the third quarter, but North Carolina quickly rallied to tie the game up at 48-48 with under ten minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Then on the ensuing drive North Carolina stopped Wake Forest on fourth down and added on a field goal with two minutes left to take a 51-48 lead. On the next drive, North Carolina came up with another stop and then added on another touchdown and sealed the upset by taking a 58-48 lead with about one minute remaining. Wake added a late score, but ultimately fell 58-55. With the loss, Wake Forest falls to 8-1 on the season and any hopes at making the College Football Playoff are gone.
