Mirna Elisabeth Marroquin is the chef behind Mirna’s Pupuseria in Flatbush, Brooklyn in New York City. After becoming lost in the city subway, she met Lorenzo Garcia by chance and the two fell madly in love. Together, they run their pupuseria as a family. Their super cheesy pupusas are made with imported El Salvadorian cheeses like quesillo for her secret cheese blend to bring the taste of her homeland to NYC.
