How Dussehra is Celebrated in Different Parts of India: 🎆🎇 Northern India In most of Northern India, Dussehra is celebrated in honour of Lord Rama by performing dance-drama-musicals based on Ramayana. Himachal Pradesh Dussehra is celebrated in the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh. The special feature of the Kullu Dasara procession is the arrival of floats containing deities from different parts of the nearby regions and their journey to Kullu. Southern India Dussehra celebrations in South India range from worshipping Durga, lighting up temple and major forts such as at Mysore, to displaying colourful figurines known as a Golu. Western India In Gujarat, both goddess Durga and god Rama are revered for their victory over evil. A regional dance called Dandiya Raas and Garba is a part of the festivities through the night.
