Come Follow Me: Act in Doctrine (Doctrine and Covenants 102-105, Sep 13-19)
Act in Doctrine, Episode 38: We discuss Doctrine and Covenants 102–105 to supplement your study of the Come Follow Me curriculum for September 13-19. Our guest is Dr. Alex Baugh. He is a professor and chair of the Department of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University, where he has been a full-time faculty member since 1995. He received his BS from Utah State University and his MA and PhD degrees from Brigham Young University. He specializes in researching and writing about the Missouri period of early Church history (1831–39). We focus on three doctrinal takeaways: 1) The Lord’s church advances as we counsel together in councils. 2) The Lord gives us stewardship over His abundance and requires us to bless those who are less fortunate. 3) Even when outcomes are disappointing, the Lord can prepare us for future blessings.
