Most of these sections took place in 1833. There was a big group of the saints that were now living in Jackson County Missouri. It turned out to be one of the reasons the mobs didn't like us. There are many reasons the mobs didn't like us. Satan will always try to make people hate the things of God, that's one reason; but as the church grew and people wanted to gather in Zion the number of church members in Jackson county grew, in fact there got to be so many members there that people who weren't members started to feel nervous. And the members would talk about the land as being theirs. People outside the church started to feel like they were going to lose everything to the church. So mobs started forming, and it wasn't long before bad things started happening. The church had a printing office that was burned down, and other bad things were happening that forced the saints living there from their homes. It was a hard and sad time. Over 800 miles away the news of what had happened had not yet reached Joseph Smith, and yet he received a revelation. It taught us how we should deal with our enemies. #comefollowme #DoctrineandCovenants #scriptureexplorers #churchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints #searchthescriptures #comefollowme2021 #D&C29 #lds #ldschurch #hearhim #lighttheworld #mormon
