Earlier in 1833 heavenly father had given the commandment to the saints to build a temple but several months later some of the church leaders still hadn't done anything to get the temple started In june of 1833 heavenly father had to say some hard things he did something he has to do sometimes that is to chasten his people what does jason mean it doesn't sound like a nice thing to chase him means to correct or discipline it means he has to say some things that are hard to hear and sometimes when we are being chastened we have to suffer through some very hard things that doesn't sound nice i thought heavenly father loves us he does but it's also very important to him that we learn and grow and sometimes the only way we will do that is if we are chastened he does this because he loves us and you know what after he did it this time it worked the church leaders began to take action so that they could build the temple why was building the temple so important heavenly father had some amazing blessings he wanted to give to his people but the people needed to show they were ready for those blessings by following his commandments and building the temple he wanted to in dallas with power from on high that means he wanted to bless us with some of the greatest blessings we can receive in this life in the temple there are so many things we can learn and the spirit is so strong it is a very special place i want to go when i'm older yeah i want to go too we should be excited to go to the temple and that brings us back to hiram smith after the lord had chased the leaders of the church they finally picked a spot where the temple would be built when they had picked a spot hiram was so excited he ran and picked up a scythe that big tool he's using to clear the grass and began working right away he said we are preparing to build a house for the lord and i am determined to be the first at the work it took some time and many sacrifices but eventually a beautiful temple was built on that spot where some very special things happened that would affect the church and the world #comefollowme #DoctrineandCovenants #scriptureexplorers #churchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints #searchthescriptures #comefollowme2021 #D&C94 #lds #ldschurch #hearhim #lighttheworld #mormon
