Founded by Wayne Lytle, it is incorporated in New York, with offices in Texas and California. The initial name of the company was Visual Music, but changed to Animusic in 1995. Lytle founded Animusic (originally under the name Visual Music) in 1995 with his associate David Crognale. Together, they released Animusic 1 originally in 2001 (and re-released in 2004, with 5.1 surround sound and extra content) and Animusic 2 in 2005.
