A new day has come in Gaza, with a ceasefire and hopes for an extended break in fighting between Israelis and Palestinians. The 11-day war left more than 250 people dead, most of them Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. News of the truce brought widespread celebrations, and more are expected in the coming hours.
