Learn a Vietnamese Lullabye - Cháu yêu bà

submitted by Loraine Ho on 03/30/21 1

Learning about the many diverse AAPI communities is a great way to celebrate these important cultures and to also address the recent sad and horrible instances of AAPI hate. The more we learn, the more we can understand and appreciate one another and become friends and allies for each other! We’re so happy to have an amazing music teacher - Ms. P - do a quick lesson where you can learn this beautiful lullabye from the country of Vietnam. Watch the video to see what each of the words mean, how they are pronounced and how to learn and sing the melody. Don’t you wish you could learn every new song this way? This song is a part of a larger lesson including a read-aloud of the book - The Most Beautiful Thing - which tells the story of a Hmong family living in America and the power of a grandmother’s love. You can watch that complete lesson here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=if53oDCWWUk And subscribe to @MusicwithMs.P for more great music-related videos: www.youtube.com/channel/UC_3os2HqGNmtZqh5H_Z1e3w
