Step 4: Now press CTRL + ALT + T from your desktop location to open the terminal and firstly update the package list and then install the updated versions of the installed applications. Step 5: Start the PT setup using the sudo dpkg command in the terminal. Then continue by typing the root password. Step 6: After the installation files are extracted, accept the software and EULA license agreement. Step 7: After installing Packet Tracer, you can see that the required dependent packages are not installed in the terminal.
