If you find yourself using the same combination of effects over and over again or even if you’re using the same values for specific parameters, instead of manually adding them each time or even copy-paste attributes each time, just create and Effects Preset once and then apply just the preset to automatically apply all its effects and settings! In this video I show you 2 convenient examples, but you could obviously create your own that suit your own needs. I show how to create a green screen effects preset by combining the keyer and and mask effects. I even set the masking points already and sample the green color just to show that that’s also possible, although I usually don’t do that myself because these will be different each time. The 2nd example is an audio effects preset. Whenever I need to raise the amplitude of an audio clip, I usually don’t raise its volume. Instead I apply a compressor and a limiter effect and I use the limiter’s gain setting to raise the volume. I even have multiple presets with the same effects, but with different gain values, to immediately apply the correct gain I want and save myself yet another setting to have to manually change. Using an effects preset is maybe nothing cool to show, but it’s an amazing time saver when working on large projects and you have to apply similar settings over and over again. So go create your own effects presets and use the time you saved for other fun stuff!
