Blitz's owner taught him a command that would come in handy for appointments. Having your dog comfortable being restrained in the lateral position will both decrease their stress in the vet office and make your vet and tech/assistants job a little easier. Now instead of being put in that position by force he can put himself there and the technician or assistant can then hold him for restraint.
