"During 2021, I will write and mail a postcard a day. The postcards will praise good people for good works. Each card will be different. Many pictures will be drawn from my archive; some will be made new as life unfolds. Everything I make is a love story. This will be real mail. The handwritten messages and recipients will remain private. This album will be a visual diary of a year in the life of the pandemic. Mike Hazard is a fiscal year 2021 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. " Mark Hazard
