Setting-The-Stage: Green Skills Paper Session To guide the conference debate and provide scientific background, a report is being commissioned to focus specifically on explaining the relevance of skills to enable the green transformation in the industrial sector. In particular, it examines what upcoming trends in greening the industry in developing countries imply for the necessary skills, what kind of skills/competencies are expected to play a role in greening the industry, and what interventions in the areas of education, vocational training, and continuous training (or “lifelong training”) may be necessary. Lastly, drawing on experiences with such interventions in developing countries, it highlights what the pre-requisites are for effective skills development programs. 1:38 - Presentation by Pof.
