Even though missionaries have other ways to communicate getting an actual letter is still something special. I used to get letters from my dad Mormon when I was teaching the Nephites. He would write to me and tell me that he loved me, and to encourage me in my teaching. He let me know he prayed for me. But he also gave me advice, and told me some important things that I needed to teach to the Nephites. We talked about baptism last time, but lots of people have different ways of seeing baptism. Some people believe that we shouldn't wait, but we should be baptized as babies. It's not bad that people want to baptize their children, but Heavenly Father told my father that little children don't need to be baptized until they are old enough to understand good and bad and make those choices for themselves. So baptizing children before they are old enough isn't needed because babies and little children are perfect through Jesus Christ. My father wrote me a letter telling me about that, he wanted to make sure that all Nephites knew they should not be baptizing their little children anymore.
