The final words Moroni writes are to ask all people to believe in the power of God and to come unto Christ and be perfected in Him. Moroni counsels us to love God with all our might, mind, and strength. Then he buries the plates to fulfill the Lord’s purposes. The plates will later come forth by the gift and power of God to show the remnant of the house of Israel the great things that the Lord has done for their fathers and to convince both Jews and Gentiles that Jesus is the Christ. Eventually, Joseph Smith is led to the sacred record. Based on Moroni 10:7, 29, 32, and the Book of Mormon title page. Moroni 10 7 And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever. 29 And God shall show unto you, that that which I have written is true. 32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. Book of Mormon Title Page Wherefore, [this book] is an abridgment of the record of the people of Nephi, and also of the Lamanites—Written to the Lamanites, who are a remnant of the house of Israel; and also to Jew and Gentile—Written by way of commandment, and also by the spirit of prophecy and of revelation—Written and sealed up, and hid up unto the Lord . . . to come forth by the gift and power of God . . . in due time by way of the Gentile . . . to show unto the remnant of the house of Israel what great things the Lord hath done for their fathers; and that they may know the covenants of the Lord, that they are not cast off forever—And also to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God.
