What does “the rest of the Lord” mean to you? In Moroni chapter 7 verse 3, the wonderful promise of finding rest in the Lord is given to those “that are the peaceable followers of Christ” who have “obtained a sufficient hope.” Have you ever experienced this hope and this rest? What were you going through at the time? Oftentimes we think that in order to feel this peace that passes all understanding, there has to be an absence of pain. More often than not, however, we will experience an excruciating pain that leads us to rely more on Christ who will then give us a peace that we can find rest in. The pain doesn’t go away, but “the peace outweighs the pain.” It’s a beautiful gift, and it’s one we all have access to. Today, our invitation corresponds with Moroni 8:16 which says, “ . . . perfect love casteth out all fear.” What ways can you increase love so that it will decrease fear?
