Moroni 1-6 | November 30-December 6 Lesson 47—November 29 “To Keep Them in the Right Way” #joyfulrepentance #moroni #christ #hope #healing How does the word “repentance” make you feel? Does it bring discomfort and pain or does it bring joy and hope? Today, Ganel-lyn and Scott discuss how repentance can sometimes evoke a shameful feeling in us, when in reality, repentance is one of the most joyful things we can experience. In Moroni 3:3, we’re admonished to preach repentance, but that doesn’t mean going around and correcting everyone’s behavior and decisions. According to Peter in 1 Peter 3:15, preaching repentance means interacting with someone in a way that leaves them feeling more hopeful than before. It’s helping people feel the love of Christ so that they know they’re worth saving. Our invitation to you today goes along with this principle of hopeful interaction. When someone asks how you’re doing, we encourage you to share the welfare of your soul. Instead of saying, “I’m fine,” share the raw parts that you want to hide. Allow someone to sit with you in your pain. Or, be the person that someone can share the welfare of his or her soul to. Listen and then let Christ heal.
