Kyila's kindergarten

In Lhasa Global Roots visited the Braille Without Borders school and we met Kyila who is starting up a kindergarten for blind children. Kyila joined the school at 12 years old, and since learned english, compter and management skills. She is ready to make a difference. At global roots we empower local humanitarians to achieve sustaining change, people like Rosina Mutundu., Chairman Leva (Kenya), Jahagha Jaheed in Afghanistan, Maria Engenia in Nicaragua or Tendol Gyalzur. Kyila has the passion, emphaty, initiative and integrity of a true humanitarian. We immediately dispatched funds from our reserve budget to give her project a kick start.
