UplinkFast is a great protocol used exclusively on Cisco branded Switches, reducing STP Convergence time. You can increase performance by enabling UplinkFast for the Standard STP protocol on legacy switches. UplinkFast must have a Blocked Port on the Cisco #Switch to be configured.
