This video shows you the steps to configure a Trunk port between two Cisco Switches using Cisco Packet Tracer. ✅ S U B S C R I B E ► goo.gl/8d0iG9 ✅ Article ► www.sysnettechsolutions.com/en/trunk-port-in-cisco-switches/ To configure #trunking: Step 1: Add two Switches to the #PacketTracer working environment. Add three computers and a laptop under Switch0, and a computer and a printer under Switch1. Step 2: Specify two devices under Switch0 for VLAN10 and the other two for VLAN20. Specify the printer under Switch1 as VLAN20 and the computer as VLAN10. Step 3: Create subnets according to the network topology in our video tutorial and assign IP addresses to all devices on the network. Step 4: Test the network connection by pinging each other from the devices in the regions you have configured as VLAN10 and VLAN20. Devices in different subnets will not be able to communicate. Step 5: Create two VLANs on Switch0, VLAN10 and VLAN20, and execute the switchport access vlan (VLAN-Number) command in the config mode of the interfaces to which the devices are connected. Step 6: You can use the show vlan brief command in enable mode on the SW to verify the VLANs you created. Step 7: Now ping the devices on the two SWs again. The ping will fail as a result of this operation because VLANs have been created on SW0 but no configuration has been made on SW1. Step 8: Create the same VLAN database in SW1 and assign the devices connected to its ports to the VLANs according to the topology and perform the ping again. Step 9: To configure the ports between SW0 and SW1 as trunks, execute the switchport mode trunk command on the related interfaces and you can use the show interface trunk command in enable mode to verify this operation. Step 10: With Trunking dot1q, #Switches in the network can pass VLAN information.
