Mormon 7-9 | November 2-8 Lesson 43—November 1 “I Speak Unto You As If Ye Were Present” #miracles #BookOfMormon #Moroni #testimony What are some spiritual diamonds you’ve discovered in 2020? In the Book of Mormon, what has jumped out to you recently that has helped to anchor your testimony? We can learn so much from Moroni’s experience in Mormon 7-9. We see that loneliness affects even the great spiritual giants, and Moroni’s loneliness can help us understand what our grandparents or great-grandparents may feel toward the end of their lives. Where the Bible expounds on the “how” of God and Jesus, the Book Of Mormon explains more of the “why.” It shows us why we need the atonement, it illustrates the effects of the fall, and it helps us see that the atonement is for far more than sin. Moroni reminds us that he is a flawed man and that when we dive into the pages of the Book of Mormon, we need to apply a lens of faith when considering its flaws. We can learn to focus on spiritual inquiry instead of criticism. In Mormon 7-9, we also learn about miracles and that miracles do exist. But what happens when you don’t get your miracle? Does your faith exist outside of mortal outcomes? Even when we don’t get the outcomes we may plead for, we can still see little miracles every day. Consider what miracles you’ve had in the past week, months, or year that have confirmed your faith. What did these miracles look like for you? How did they strengthen your testimony?
