“The Age Of Space Exploration” ~ Science non-fiction Film - Super 8 mm Blue (2020)

submitted by Alejandro Mos Riera on 10/28/20 1

Experimental documentary film about the history of space exploration and human efforts to study space and its stars from a scientific point of view. No commercial interest, only educational, historical, scientific divulgation and to have a cinematographic experience for general audience. *** Across the sea of space, the stars are other suns. CARL SAGAN, Cosmos I don't think the human race will survive the next thousand years, unless we spread into space. There are too many accidents that can befall life on a single planet. But I'm an optimist. We will reach out to the stars. STEPHEN HAWKING, The Daily Telegraph, October 16, 2001 The exploration of space will go ahead, whether we join in it or not, and it is one of the great adventures of all time, and no nation which expects to be the leader of other nations can expect to stay behind in the race for space. JOHN F. KENNEDY, speech at Rice University, September 12, 1962 I believe that space travel will one day become as common as airline travel is today. I'm convinced, however, that the true future of space travel does not lie with government agencies -- NASA is still obsessed with the idea that the primary purpose of the space program is science -- but real progress will come from private companies competing to provide the ultimate adventure ride, and NASA will receive the trickle-down benefits. BUZZ ALDRIN, Magnificent Desolation “Man has gone out to explore other worlds and other civilizations without having explored his own labyrinth of dark passages and secret chambers, and without finding what lies behind doorways that he himself has sealed.” STANISLAW LEM, Solaris
