The IAAF Melbourne World Challenge is Australia's pinnacle track and field event and will be held at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park on Saturday 22 March 2014. Proudly supported by the IAAF, it is the opening leg of a 15-meet worldwide series that attracts some of the most talented athletes on earth. The event in 2014 will welcome a host of international superstars as well as our country's finest athletes. Confirmed participants include Olympic and World Champion shot putter Valerie Adams, world champion 100m hurdler David Oliver (USA), World Champion 400m sprinter LaShawn Merritt (USA) and World Champion 800m runner Eunice Sum (Kenya) as well as our own Olympic hurdles champion Sally Pearson and world championship javelin silver medallist Kim Mickle. The action will be red hot as our Aussie athletes strive to post qualification performances for Commonwealth Games team selection. The road to Glasgow starts here!
