(see LCC credit information at bottom of this description.) This recording is a tribute in resonance to the monumental keystone that is George Russell's life's work and his contribution to all music and music theory. Each spontaneous composition explores one scale at a time. This unique approach allows the listener to hear the voice, color and character of each Vertical Chord-Producing Parent Scale in the specific order from Ingoing to Outgoing as they exist in close-to-distant relationship to the center of tonal gravity, The Lydian Tonic. The six tracks present the seven vertical scales: 00:27 1) The Lydian Scale (Ingoing) 06:52 2) The Lydian Augmented Scale (Semi-Ingoing) 12:19 3) The Lydian Diminished Scale (Semi-Ingoing) 17:56 4) The Lydian Flat Seventh Scale 21:52 5) The Auxiliary Augmented Scale (Semi-Outgoing) 27:32 6) The Auxiliary Diminished Scale (Semi-Outgoing) and The Auxiliary Diminished Blues Scale (Outgoing).
