Hi guys! So after going to a few Repticons recently, I felt like it was important to make a video about how to choose healthy reptiles. There are a few pictures of very sick reptiles in this video...just a heads up. I didn't mean for it to get as serious/sad as it did during that part... but while editing, I felt like it was necessary to show exactly what I was talking about. So sorry if my resting nice face feels condescending during that bit. A couple things I forgot to mention to look out for: dull colors, missing toes, open wounds, stargazing A few disclaimers: I'm in no way saying that I think there's a lot of bad vendors at reptile shows. I am, however, saying that there seems to always be one or two, and you should know how to look out for those. An amazing deal on an animal isn't always a good thing. The pictures I used in this video are in no way meant to be personal attacks. They're all just examples of various conditions. I'm 1000% not saying you shouldn't rescue animals. If you have the time/money/resources to do this, and it's something that you want to do, then definitely do it. This is just a general guide to buying healthy animals. This isn't meant to scare you away from buying reptiles. These are just things that I have seen, and felt beginners should know were possibilities.
