6/3/13 Triple Crown OKC 12u Championship - Buzz vs. Fully Loaded www.triplecrownokc.com The Triple Crown OKC takes place during the Women's College World Series. The timing of TC OKC coupled with the convergence of the softball community in Oklahoma creates a one-of-a-kind experience for youth players. Designed as a perfect mix of youth fastpitch softball and lifelong memory-making, the 2013 Triple Crown OKC tournament was played against a backdrop of devastation, loss, and healing following a string of weather systems that produced multiple EF5 tornadoes. With thoughts and prayers focused on the victims of the storms and the residents of the greater Oklahoma City area, young players and their coaches spent a weekend helping us remember to take joy in the little thing -- the game, friends, a sunny day, a smile after a win, and a smile after a loss. The 10u and 12u Championship Games were chosen for webcasts on cbssports.com -- and the young players featured in these games helped us see the future of fastpitch. After working their way through 3 games of pool play, these teams won hard-fought semifinal games to reach the championship. Playing across the street from Marita Hynes Field, home of the 2013 NCAA Champion OU Sooners softball team, the best reams at TC OKC were showcased in a 3-camera webcast production.
