Second Chances - A little girl's physical and emotional reawakening after an accident claims her father and her spirit. Second Chances (1998) Director: James Fargo Writers: Daniel A. Adams (as Daniel Adams), Arthur Martin Jr. (as Art Martin) Stars: Tom Amandes, Isabel Glasser, Kelsey Mulrooney Genre: Drama Runtime: 1h 47min Country: USA Language: English Storyline: A little girl's physical and emotional reawakening after an accident claims her father and her spirit. Reviews: "As it begins, one thinks, "Here's another unhappy child-meets-horse and is cured movie." But, stick with it--it's an excellent (and said to be true) story. The 11 year old heroine is a bit weak only in the few scenes calling for sorrow, but she more than makes up for it with her especially graceful posting. The adults all seem to be accomplished actors, with many TV roles' experience. It was good to see Stu Whitman again. My only negative is the painfully loud "background" or theme music. All the songs appear to have been written and performed by the person(s) in charge of dubbing the music, and I guess he wanted to be sure it could be heard. (Keep your remote volume control in hand throughout)."
