I started creating coding problems and writing solutions and test cases. I created a lot of full stack applications as well as front end applications, at that time I got to know about InterviewBit. I had spoken to one of my school mates about his placement scenario, an old friend who was pursuing his graduation from IIT Varanasi. He told me about the placements he was getting and how he was preparing for them. He told me he was practicing on the InterviewBit platform. I started practicing on IB. After a few months I got an email from them about the Scaler Academy program launch. The program had an entrance test which candidates needed to clear in order to be eligible for the batch. I knew that if I passed the Scaler Academy program test it would change my career drastically. I knew I deserved a much better environment with a better salary package. I took the tests on both days, Saturday and Sunday, two times each for different batches, but I couldn’t clear in any of those 4 attempts. I started to feel like I didn’t wish to take the test any more. One of my good friends called me up that time and said, “You deserve better. Give it another try, you don’t have anything to lose anyways”. For the next batch, I took the test on Saturday, I couldn't clear it. I decided to take it again on Sunday, I took the test and finally after 5 failed attempts I got selected on my 6th one. That feeling was inexplicable. I kind of felt relieved. I would recommend students in tier 3 colleges to start coding in their first year with a special focus on competitive programming.
