George Vondriska (www.instagram.com/vondriskaworks/) provided me with this great resin and wood blank that he designed to look like a patchwork quilt. You'll see his techniques for creating the resin blank, adding colorant to the resin, pouring into molds and curing in a casting epoxy pressure pot, removing the resin blank from the molds, etc. From there, I turn the resin bowl in my shop using a negative rake scraper from Easy Wood Tools. Then I coated the resin bowl with Minwax Wipe-on poly.
