Exclusive- 11 year old boy has been shot during a home invasion in Upminster area of London on the 1st may 2020 A third person has been arrested in connection with an incident where an 11-year-old boy was shot in his home. The horrific incident happened at around 9.30pm on Friday, May 1, when police were called to a property on Kerry Drive in Upminster. A homeowner opened the door to someone pretending to be a delivery driver. The male posing as the driver, along with a group of others, then forced their way into the house believed to be in possession of a knife. The child's injuries are described as not life-threatening but may be life-changing. The man's injuries are assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing. The police are still continuing to investigate this incident. Police previously arrested two teenage boys, aged 16 and 18, on suspicion of aggravated burglary. The 16-year-old was bailed to return on a date in late May, pending further enquiries, while the 18-year-old was released with no further action yesterday. Yesterday evening (Monday, May 4) detectives made a further arrest. A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remains in custody at an east London police station. The police are still continuing to investigate this incident. They have reassured locals that they will be patrolling the area over the next few days and are encouraging residents to approach them with any concerns they may have. Also this week in Birmingham Police are investigating a horrifying burglary in Birmingham where a householder had bleach poured over him. The victim was also dragged down a flight of stairs and then violently kicked in the sick attack which happened in Edgbaston on Wednesday night (April 29). Police were called to a house in Vincent Drive just before 10.30pm. A group of five men who were armed with knives had got into the house and made threats to the homeowners. They demanded money and gold before subjecting a man in the house to a brutal attack. They dragged him from his bedroom and all the way down a flight of stairs. He was then kicked by the other men and had bleach poured all over him. Despite the callous assault, police said he was "okay" and does not have serious injuries. A woman was also threatened, before the men made off with a gold bracelet and an iPhone 6.
