Che Che Koolay ~An Orff Arrangement~

Che Che Koolay, also known as 'Kye Kye Kule', is a wonderful repeat-after-me song that comes from Ghana, Africa. The lyrics to Che Che Koolay are: Che Che Koolay, Che Che Kofisa Kofisa Langa Ka Ka Silanga Kum Ade Nde Hey! I don't know the exact translation of Che Che Koolay, but from my understanding, it's a group dance in which singer touch their toes, knees, shoulders, and head- similar to the song "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes." To get the most out of this song, we've created a simple set of rhythmic ostinatos to accompany the song. Learning to play these ostinato lines while others are singing is a great way to strengthen steady beat. If you don't have the instruments used in the video, feel free to improvise with things around you that could serve as instruments.
