So I contacted my friend and biz dev mentor Scott Pollack to come give Phat Startup fans a crash course on the subject. Scott has been doing biz dev for 12 years, so this interview is our attempt to pack all of that knowledge up into 30 minutes. We break down in a very basic way what biz dev is. We also take a look at some great examples such as the Jay Z and Samsung deal, to see what we can learn from it. I wanted the audience to really get some meat out of the interview, so I asked Scott about what very early stage companies can do to get partnerships. He not only breaks down how to find the right person, but how to communicate with them.
