Dust Bowl Faeries, Deer Gigantus

submitted by Club Helsinki Virtual Open Mic on 04/17/20 1

Dust Bowl Faeries is a dark-cabaret band from the New York Hudson Valley. The group was founded by accordionist Ryder Cooley and Hazel, a disembodied taxidermy ram who performs with the band as their mascot-spirit animal. Musicians: Jon B. Woodin (guitar), Rubi LaRue (lap-steel), Liz LoGiudice (bass) & Andrew Stein (percussion). Deer Gigantus is a song about species decline & the plight of the extinct Gigantic Deer. Video: Lisa M. Thomas/Thin Edge Films, sound: Mike Schoonmaker/Gigantic Mastering.
