►How To Guide SMOK Novo Rewick 1.2ohm Pod-- SAVE MONEY! with Tips at end of this text write up ↓↓↓↓ This isn't a definitive guide and is only in-depth as it can be, cleaning isn't required, we are only really wanting to replace the wicking material but it is a GREAT idea to always clean and sanitize everything between rewicks. •Tools needed: pliers or channel locks, isopropyl alcohol 50%, warm water, towel for drying, small hobby screw driver, cotton wick material, scissors, tweezers (Mix and Match as required) •Remove metal cap with pliers or channel locks. •Use tweezers or appropriate tool to remove plastic bottom. •Remove all silicone pieces and place all items in isopropyl alcohol, swish around until you feel it’s clean enough. Place all pieces in warm water and let sit for a moment or two. •Dry off all pieces and hit it with a qtip making sure all plastic items are dry. •Utilizing the hobby screw driver we will thread it gently inside the coil to straighten it out at this point we can use the qtips mentioned before with isopropyl alcohol and you can dab with a twist motion to pick up any additional debris that still exist on the coil until you are satisfied that it is clean, remove the hobby screw driver and place the coil assembly inside the clear tank and blow air into the micro USB port, this helps to clean the coil - don’t over heat the coil as it may become brittle and break. •Let cool for about 5-10 seconds and begin the rewick process, place the oval silicone gasket onto the coil head and take a small shred of cotton and thread it through the coil keeping a consistent tight thread as to not disfigure the coils. •Be sure there is enough cotton so it’s not too loose and not too tight (Tighter cotton may result in popping-Less is more), Clip off either side of the cotton short as possible (Get creative -- I've wrapped cotton completely around the silicone top hat for example) •Now we have a rewicked coil assembly, now we place the top silicone hat onto the rewicked coil assembly and slowly insert into the tank making sure to match the hat around the chimney so it is placed evenly and tightly continuing to apply pressure until the head is completely inside the coil. •Grab your metal cap and pliers, placing it onto both sides and squeezing slightly to give the sides a little extra grip when snapping it back on the tank so it is a tight fit. •Take your preferred ejuice and begin refilling the pod making sure not to directly inject into the cotton wick as this will cause minor leakage and possible spit back for the first few hits, insert the nozzle into the fill port and tip the tank upside down being mindful of the flow direction you want it to not touch the cotton until the juice as filled to the top which will be the bottom once flipped over. •Let soak for a moment or two and draw on it without the battery just to get some positive airflow through the pod. •Place the tank into the Novo battery and take a couple of light draws to make sure the cotton is completely wicked. •Take your time during this process, it is possible to cause damage that may or may not be repairable, if the metal cap is not easily removable, you may scratch the plastic material holding the metal cap in place slightly to give you less material to pull on and may come out easier. •Rewicking these tanks may disintegrate the structural integrity of the unit over time so my process is an attempt to keep as much structural integrity as possible so it will last longer and give the best optimal performance overall without dry hits, spit back, popping and leakage — as with any tank leakage is possible so expect there to be some here and there but if you follow along each time you rewick you should have little to no problems. Tips ►Airflow: When placing the pod into the battery insert slowly until the LED lights up to get a little more air flow from your unit, dont push the pod into the battery and pull up, this may result in loosening the pods internals and causing more then desired leaking. ►Boil Silicone: Only for the Silicone Gasket and Silicone Top Hat and before the rewicking process (NOT THE TANK OR COIL HEAD) Boil up to 1 minute, pull out silicone items from boiling water a spoon is great for this and let cool -- Place the Silicone gasket onto the coil head and rewick with cotton material, cut to fit and place the silicone top hat onto the coil head, use a heatgun or hair dryer to remove any moisture -- Be careful not to melt any items, doesn't take a very long time for these little pieces to heat up. They are not indestructable. once its cooled down place the rewicked coil head assembly with the Silicone gasket and Silicone top hat installed and fit into the tank.
