Today, we're answering your questions about using a rideshare company like Uber or Lyft, if you are a senior. Is it safe? Which features do these companies use to ensure their rider's will stay safe? How do you arrange a ride if you don't have a smartphone? Go to m.uber.com or m.lyft.com to access the desktop version of the mobile app for these ridesharing companies. 2) Your can go into your own Uber app a) Open your Uber app b) You should already have your Uber app set up to read the contacts on your phone's contact list. c) To make it a bit easier for me I added that person's address to my Favorites List on the Uber app. d) Tap on the Where to? box e) At the top of your screen you should see an option to choose the ride "For Me" - tap on that so you can choose someone else besides yourself. f) Tap on "choose who's riding" g) You will then choose the person from your list of contacts h) Tap on your address at the top of the screen and either type in the address where you want Uber to pick up that person or scroll down a bit to choose it from your Favorites list i) Tap on the Where To box again to put in the address they are going to. 3) You or your senior loved one can call GoGoGrandparent to arrange a ride from Uber or Lyft. The phone number is 855-464-6872.
