The Kuskokwim's fastest dog teams began the 2019 Akiak Dash with a mass start in Bethel, Alaska. The dog teams race upriver to Akiak and back down to Bethel for bragging rights and a $30,000 purse. Video footage by Victor Bee, Mike McIntyre, Joey Mendolia, and Ben Matheson/KYUK.
