At a remarkably vital senior age, Les Walkeden has found a new passion in dance. He has travelled the world with his wife, and he shows no signs of slowing down as he begins planning for a trip to India. This film was produced in Reel Youth and Revera’s Age Is More Film Program, at the Dorchester Retirement Residence in Kelowna, BC. The program brought several generations together to build relationships and celebrate the seniors through story-telling and film. Ageism is Canada’s most widely tolerated form of social discrimination, and the Age Is More Film Program was designed to shed light on ageism and break down stereotypes, while showcasing the talents of this amazing group of seniors.
