A survivor of polio in her 20s, Ruth has not stopped dancing, and can still teach the youth a dance move or two from her wheelchair. This film was produced in Reel Youth and Revera’s Age Is More Film Program, at the Dorchester Retirement Residence in Kelowna, BC. The program brought several generations together to build relationships and celebrate the seniors through story-telling and film. Ageism is Canada’s most widely tolerated form of social discrimination, and the Age Is More Film Program was designed to shed light on ageism and break down stereotypes, while showcasing the talents of this amazing group of seniors.
